Before submitting a request please be sure to review the following links to see if the records you are seeking already exist in the agencies reading rooms and to answer request processing questions you may have during the request submission process.

CHECK REQUEST STATUS
You do not need to be a registered requester on the portal to Check the Status of your request, all you need is the request tracking number HUD provided to you and the requesters last name.
If you have an existing profile on the portal just Sign In and click on the Request Status link provided in the toolbar.
Privacy Act Statement (PAS)
Authority: The collection and maintenance of accommodation records is authorized by Sections 2 and 7(d) of the Department of Housing and Urban Development Act of 1965, Pub. L. 89-174, 42 U.S.C. §§ 3531, 3535(d); The Freedom of Information Act, Pub. L. 89-487, as amended, 5 U.S.C. § 552.
Purpose: The FMS2 will help HUD to track correspondence both internally among program offices and those received externally from outside entities. This system will enable HUD to track FOIA inquiries (internal and external) to HUD.

Disclosure: The PII collection is voluntary. Individuals can refuse to provide their PII, thereby withdrawing from submitting the request.

Paper Reduction Act (PRA) Burden Statement
The public reporting burden for this collection of information is estimated to average 0.33 hours, including the time for reviewing instructions, searching existing data sources, gathering and maintaining the data needed, and completing and reviewing the collection of information.
This collection of information is required for any online submission of Freedom of Information Act requests by members of the public. The information will be used to provide HUD with sufficient information needed to process a FOIA request in accordance with 5 U.S.C. 552 and 24 C.F.R. pt. 15. Responses will be held confidential pursuant to the Privacy Act (5 U.S.C. 552a).
Send comments regarding this burden estimate or any other aspect of this collection of information, including suggestions to reduce this burden, to the Reports Management Officer, Paperwork Reduction Project, to the Office of Information Technology, US. Department of Housing and Urban Development, Washington, DC 20410-3600. HUD may not conduct and sponsor, and a person is not required to respond to, a collection of information unless the collection displays a valid control number.
